The Pepperell Dragon Band will have the third base concessions for all Rome Braves home games during the 2010 season.  All students and family members are eligible to volunteer to work games, and half the proceeds will go directly to student accounts to be used for band fees, shoes and equipment, and next year’s spring trip.  Do keep in mind that the Braves concessions are to benefit the band as a non-profit group and therefore money raised cannot be paid directly to volunteers.  Instead, money earned will be credited to student accounts.  This is an outstanding way to benefit the band program and individual students and I sincerely hope you will be a part of the fun!

An additional Team Leader is needed for this year.  The hours for a Team Leader begin about two hours before game time and end about an hour after the game.  Team Leaders do earn more toward their student's account.  If you would like to volunteer for Team Leader, contact Mr. Steelnack.  We will be running the third base stand again, plus the usual Dippin’ Dots.  There will be plenty of opportunity for students to earn their band fees and trip money.

Teams will be assembled to rotate during the season.  Students and family members/ friends may of course work with more than one team if they choose to do so.  There is no perfrect way to predict this year’s earnings, but last year the band raised $17,000.00 and the economy looks to pick up a bit this summer. 

Students, parents, siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and other folks are welcome to volunteer on behalf of a student.  Team leaders will be happy to sign you up.

Look for a group meeting time for a training session in the upcoming weeks for questions and scheduling, and see you at the ballpark!
