Student Information
Students should bring the following items with them for all rehearsals:
· Pencil
· Identifiable folding music
stand (no stands will be provided). Each participant is to bring his/her
own folding stand.
· 2-3 playable reeds for
reed players
· straight mutes (all trumpets,
trombones, and symphonic french horns)
· cup/plunger mutes (HS
concert and symphonic trumpets/trombones)
· Percussion – all
necessary striking implements and designated instruments and stands. The participant’s
school is responsible for his/her personal percussion equipment.
Be on time for all rehearsals. Tardiness
will result in the student moving to last on his/her respective part unless the student’s reason for being tardy is
appealed and excused by the steering committee. A second tardy will result in
the student being moved to the bottom of the section. There are no exceptions
for a student missing a rehearsal entirely (unless excused by the steering committee).
Students are to wear their school concert uniforms for the All- District performance.
Rehearsal Rules:
· Conduct yourself as young
ladies and gentlemen. Show respect for your conductor, each other, yourself and
the Heritage HS facility.
· “Dress code”
should be consistent with individual school policies. In addition, no hats in
rehearsal.
· No food or drinks at the
rehearsal sites.
Have a great time and congratulations
for your hard work!
