Dear band parents and students,

First, congratulations on a fine performance at the GMEA Large Group Performance Evaluations earlier in March.  Students are to be commended for their hard work and dedication to excellence that exemplifies the Pepperell High School band program.

Next, a Six Flags trip is being organized for Saturday, May 17.  Please see the attached form and return the commitment portion to the band room.  If students have positive account money available, it may be used for this trip.

Spring calendar items:

April 24  Jazz Band performance evaluation at Rome HS— 7:40 performance

April 29  Band Banquet at PHS.  This year the banquet will be catered.  The cost per individual attending will be $8, with band members admitted at no cost.  The menu will include BBQ and fixins’, and tickets will be available until April 23.

May 1     Jazz Band performance - Showcase for the Arts at the Forum at 7pm

May 6     Band Spring Concert at PHS- 7pm.  This year’s concert will also feature Pepperell Middle School.

May 8-10  JSU Honor Band

May 17   Six Flags trip

May 19   Jazz Band / Percussion Ensemble concert 7pm

May 21   Baccalaureate ceremony – PHS 6:30pm.  Required Symphonic Band performance.

May 23   Commencement – Forum 7pm – arrive at 6:15.  Required Symphonic Band performance.

Band Camp dates:

Please reserve the following dates for this year’s band camp.  All students who will march in the fall field show are required to attend camp.

July 14-16              all new members, color guard, percussion and leadership

July 17-18              full band

July 21-23              full band
