Bob Steelnack

Bob Steelnack is a 1986 graduate of Pinellas Park High School in Largo, FL, and went on to attend the University of South Florida studying under Jerry Junkin and Chuck Owen.  He served as saxophonist in the Army band program from 1990-92 and was stationed with the 14th Army Band at Ft. McClellan, Alabama.  While there, he was an active performer with the Concert Band, Show Band, Jazz Combo, and Jazz Ensemble.  He holds a Bachelor's of Music Education from Jacksonville State University (1996), studying under Scott McBride, Ken Bodiford and Chris Culver, and a Master of Science in Education from Troy State University (2000) studying under Ray Smith, James Smith, Ralph Ford and Robert W. Smith.

 

Mr. Steelnack is an active performer throughout the Southeast with groups such as the Clocktower Jazz Ensemble, Chamber Players of the South, Northwest Georgia Winds, Ready or Not, the Georgians, Applescraps, as well as other professional and community groups.


Mr. Steelnack is now in his 16th year as a music educator and 12th year as Director of Bands at Pepperell High School.  His professional affiliations include memberships with MENC, GAJE, JEN, Phi Beta Mu, and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia.  He has served the Georgia Music Educators Association District 7 as band chairman, auditions host, Large Group Performance Evaluations host, and GAJE as president.

Laura Webb

Laura Webb is Director of Bands at Pepperell Middle School.  Ms. Webb received the Bachelor of Music in Music Education and the Master of Music Education degrees from the University of South Carolina.  She completed the Educational Leadership certification program from the State University of West Georgia.  In 2006, she earned the Educational Specialist degree in Education Leadership with an emphasis in Curriculum and Instruction from Nova Southeastern University (FL).  
 

Currently in her nineteenth year as a music educator,  Ms. Webb has taught on the elementary, middle and high school levels.  She has held band director positions in the Henry, Barrow, Cobb, Fayette, and Clayton County school systems.  Ms. Webb has served the Georgia Music Educators Association on the state and district level.  Currently, she is the Vice-President for Performance Evaluations for GMEA.  For the two previous years, she served as a Member-At-Large for the GMEA Board as well as Treasurer for District 6.  She served as the organizer for the Middle School All State Band for five years. She has organized Large Group Performance Evaluation, Honor Band, and All State auditions on the district level on numerous occasions.  She is active as an adjudicator and clinician throughout the state of Georgia.  Ms. Webb also serves as a Content Review Panel Member for the Georgia Professional Standards Commission evaluating teacher preparation programs.   In 2008, Ms. Webb received the GMEA Volunteer of the Year award. 

Ms. Webb performs with Tara Winds and the Cobb Wind Symphony community bands.  She has been a staff member for Encore Music Camps and the Fayette Area Band Camp.  Ms. Webb’s professional affiliations include GMEA, MENC:  The National Association for Music Education, National Band Association, Delta Omicron International Music Fraternity and Tau Beta Sigma Honorary Band Sorority.
